Azhagi - Reverse Transliteration

Azhagi also has an inbuilt Font converter with which Tamil fonts can be converted to Unicode from TSCII and from Unicode To TSCII.
The process of converting Unicode Tamil text into English phonetics by using the Font converter and Reverse Transliteration facility of Azhagi is explained here to the viewers step by step.
Step 1: Open the file or document containing the Tamil text in Unicode, say a Notepad document.

Step 2: Click the option "Edit" from the menu and click the Option "Select All".

Step 3: Click the option "Edit" from the menu and click the Option "Copy".

Step 4: Open Azhagi.

Step 5: Click the option "File" from the menu of Azhagi and click the Option Fonts Coverter.

Step 6: Select the Option "Unicode" in the Convert From box of Azhagi Fonts Converter.

Step 7: Select the Option "TSCII" in the Convert To box.

Step 8: Paste the Text copied from the Notepad document in the upper screen of Azhagi Fonts Converter by pressing the keys "Ctrl" and "V" of your keyboard.

Step 9: Click the button marked "Convert" seen at the right of the Convert To box.

Step 10: Click in the lower screen of the Azhagi Fonts converter where you now see the TSCII obtained by conversion and press the keys "Ctrl" and "A" of your keyboard to select the text.

Step 11: Copy the selected text by pressing the keys "Ctrl" and "C" of your keyboard. Close the Azhagi Fonts Converter and paste the copied TSCII text in the Tamil Text Area (the lower half) of Azhagi screen by pressing the keys "Ctrl" and "V" of your keyboard. You can copied text in the screen of Azhagi in single screen mode also.

Step 12: Click the Option "Tools" in the menu of Azhagi and Click the Option "Reverse Transliteration" displayed from the Option "Power Tools".

Step 13: Click the Option "Copy" in the Azhagi Reverse Transliterator.

Click the Option "Edit" of the Notepad document or the other document where you want to have the reverse transliterated English phonetic text and click the Option "Paste".
